Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) is a public legal entity and independent in its operations. FIMSA is in charge of licensing, regulation and supervision of the credit institutions, insurance sector and securities market.
Financial Monitoring Service was established with the Decree number 66 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the Decree number 760 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 3, 2016, the authorities defined by the legislation on prevention of legalization of criminally obtained funds and other property and financing terrorism have been transferred to Financial Market Supervisory Authority public legal entity. Financial Monitoring Service is a part of the structure of Financial Market Supervisory Authority.
