Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) is a public legal entity and independent in its operations. FIMSA is in charge of licensing, regulation and supervision of the credit institutions, insurance sector and securities market.
Issuing licenses (permissions), as well as withdrawing, limiting, and terminating the issued licenses (permissions) are regulated and governed by the laws on “Banks”, “Non-bank Credit Organizations”, “Credit Unions”, “Post Offices”, “Insurances”, “Securities Market”, “Investment Funds”, as well as other laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan on regulating the activity of financial markets and its players, and the adopted normative legal acts based on the above mentioned laws.
